WOW says hi. They had over 10 million subscribers in 2008. That is Halo/COD numbers. Also gaming on a PC isn't just limited to the multiplats that also come out on consoles there are all the MMO's which consoles don't have and also thousands of flash games. Lets not forget online Poker you can't play that on consoles. The amount of PC gamers is staggeringly large. Even if it is a game of solitare, freecell or mines you are still gaming on a PC.
Why the hell is this under PC news?
Here's a better task try find a store with less than 5 - 10 360's on the shelves. Retailers are saturated with them.
When did any of the Big 3 ever wait for NPD numbers? They respond to the figures released which would be stupid not to spin the news to make your console seem good ie free advertising. I worked at an electronics store in the 90's and back then the companies knew exactly how many tv's were being sold. Hitachi for example had points for every tv sold and people could track their points on the Hitachi site so not only were hitachi tracking the tv's sold they were also tracking which salesman ...
Lots of first party developers look for people with xbox or ps3 skills. It doesn't mean they are looking to port the game it's just that it doesn't matter what platform you have worked on your skills are transferable. Programming skills are programming skills. You can always learn new ways of doing things but becoming a good programmer takes a lot of experience.
Also I think we'll see QD's game on PC before the 360 since all their other games are on PC except HR.
Now there is a big difference between PSN and XBL. That being the PSN has dedicated servers so if someone quits it makes no difference to you on the PSN (except in lame games with hosts MW2). The dedicated servers don't allow people to see other people's ip addresses so you if you pwn someone they don't execute a DOS attack on you. One thing about MAG is that they have a system in place to detect people using lag switchers which actually can ruin a game.
I hope they have new domination modes like where you have to secure other objectives on new maps. They can literally take this game anywhere they want. I want more, more, more!
I agree. I love the game but there is no way they can have leveled up to OIC and written a review. I have been playing hard and am only at level 20. I'm not the best at MAG though but reviewers probably aren't that good either since they only play most games on easy to get their reviews done.
Hey Dark your load outs are completely customizable if you want your medikit to pop up first go into the armory and switch its position with the grenade. Respawn can be almost instantaneous if there are other members in you squad ready to spawn. 30 sec is the longest you'll wait but it is just so that when you spawn you are spawning with at least some of your squad. That's part of the whole team thing. You also have 4 options for where you spawn it just depends if your squad leader has ac...
I assume most of the people on here complaining are xbox fanboys who haven't had an exclusive FPS in almost 3 years. The only games that aren't generic are halo and multiplat FPSs. And then they rave about how halo has so many people playing it but it's like yeah if there was only 1 FPS on the PS3 then everyone that liked FPSs would play that game only.
There's worse things than lag. Like people who leave the games when they are the host. If you don't get dropped and lose your progress you have to wait for a new host.
I knew you where lying when you started talking smack about the servers. Sorry but you're wrong about the lag, maybe you're using a sh1tty router. Just admit it you can't play this game so you want it to fail so you don't feel so bad about not playing this game.
It is really quick to jump into games usually less than a minute to get into a game after finishing the last.
GTA4 was the point for me. Reviews are garbage, well game reviews (I like walter Chaw's reviews on filmfreakcentral.com he rips most movies apart). Kotaku does okay reviews sometimes though, except when Luke Plunkett does reviews.
It took me 5 hours to reach domination. It isn't hard if you get the resuscitaiton kit at level 5.
The thing about those early reviews and even this one. Is that none of the reviewers can possibly have reached the Officer in Command level. You don't see anyone on MAG above level 30. So if they haven't tried the whole game then they are in no position to review it whether the score is good or bad.
Europeans get MAG on friday. What you're probably hearing are french canadians or mexicans.
Well the story for heavy rain will be better than Bioshock 2. And since part 1 ended perfectly, part 2 seems superfluous.
I think that will be the DLC.
I have put in almost 20 hours and am at level 21. Right now I need a few more matches to become platoon leader. I am going to guess that the leveling is about 1 per hour. So I can see myself putting in 180 hours into this game. Given the lineup of games it will be hard to do this before heavy rain comes out, but this is my shooter for the year so 180 over the course of a year is not bad. This will put the value of the game at 33 cents an hour (pretty damn good value).
